As part of the ITEC Programme, India allocates and funds 5000 vocational training slots every year in over 200 short, medium and long-term courses at 42 Institutes of eminence considered to be leading facilities in their field of specialization with many of them gravitating towards hi-tech areas like IT.

आईटेक कार्यक्रम के भाग के रूप में भारत 42 प्रमुख संस्थानों में संचालित 200 से अधिक लघु, मध्यम एवं दीर्घकालीन पाठ्यक्रमों में प्रतिवर्ष 5000 व्यावसायिक प्रशिक्षण स्लाट्स का आवंटन एवं वित्तपोषण करता है। इन संस्थानों को अपनी विशेषज्ञता के क्षेत्र में उत्कृष्ट माना जाता है और इनमें से अनेक सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी जैसे उच्च प्रौद्योगिकी के क्षेत्र में भी प्रशिक्षण प्रदान कर रहे हैं।
